Bison Steak

bison, buttercup squash seeds, leeks and garlic...put them all together and you have bison steaks full of flavor.

Needs

  1. 2 bison steaks
  2. 1 or 2 leeks, chopped
  3. 1 clove of garlic, finely cut
  4. 1 buttercup squash worth of seeds
 

TIME

  1. PREP: 15 minutes
  2. COOK: 20 minutes

SERVES

  1. 2 (all ingredients proportioned to 2 steaks; double as needed)

Cooking it up

  1. In a medium size baking dish, place the seeds from one buttercup squash. The seeds should be as free of buttercup squash meat as possible. Then add in the two bison steaks.
  2. Along with the seeds and the steaks add in one clove of cut garlic and one chopped leek. Salt the steaks to assist in cooking.
  3. Let bake for 10 minutes at 325°. Flip and let bake for another ten minutes or until the steaks reach 150°-155° (medium rare).
  4. Once finished, remove seeds, leeks and garlic from dish and fry in skillet for ten minutes.
