Oaty Potatoes

Eating breakfast with food allergies can be easy; here's another breakfast recipe that is sweet and filling - and very easy to make - that uses oats and sweet potatoes. Read the recipe details.

Needs

  1. 1 cup oats
  2. 1 sweet potato, chopped fine
  3. 1 1/2 cups water
  4. 1/8 cup oil (any kind)
 

TIME

  1. PREP: 5 minutes
  2. COOK: 10 minutes

SERVES

  1. 4 servings

Cooking it up

  1. While cooking the oats in the water, fry the sweet potatoes (chopped fine) in the oil (any type of oil will work).
  2. After the oats have cooked and have rested for about five minutes, and after the sweet potatoes are nearly done (after about eight or nine minutes of cooking), add the oats in with the sweet potatoes.
  3. Fry the sweet potatoes and oats until the sweet potatoes are fully cooked and the oats are slightly crunchier.
