Quinoa Onion Rings

Allergy free onion rings, made with the help of quinoa flour.

Needs

  1. 1 onion sliced into rings
  2. 1 cup quinoa flour
  3. 3/4 cup of water
  4. 1 cup of canola oil
  5. Salt
 

TIME

  1. PREP: 10 minutes
  2. COOK: 20 minutes

SERVES

  1. 3-5 servings

Cooking it up

  1. Begin by making a watery quinoa mix from the water, salt and quinoa flour.
  2. Once the mixture has been created, run the sliced onions through the mix, until the onions are sufficiently coated.
  3. After letting the excess liquid drain away, fry the onion rings in 1 cup of canola oil.
  4. After thirty seconds to one minute, flip the onion rings over.
  5. Once browned, remove from the oil immediately and let the excess oil drain away.
