Thanksgiving Turkey

Cooking turkey on Thanksgiving doesn't have to be a challenge. Read the details of the recipe. After the turkey is made, why not use the other ingredients to make a sweet potato side dish and a gravy?

Needs

  1. 2 turkey legs
  2. 6 cups chicken broth
  3. 2 sweet potatoes
  4. 3 carrots
  5. 1 onion
  6. 2 celery stalks
 

TIME

  1. PREP: 15 minutes
  2. COOK: 30 minutes boil / 1 hour bake

SERVES

  1. 2 servings

Cooking it up

  1. Begin by boiling turkey legs, sweet potatoes, carrots, onion and celery in the chicken broth.
  2. After half an hour, remove the turkey legs from the chicken broth and place in baking pan along with half a cup of the already-in-use chicken broth.
  3. Place in 350 degree oven, letting the legs bake for one hour. After half an hour in the oven, add in another half cup of chicken broth and flip.
  4. After one full hour of baking, remove from the oven.
